DeliverShot vs Pixieset

Client galleries, or event delivery.

Pixieset is the default for wedding and portrait photographers who want a polished client gallery, a studio website, and a Lightroom plugin. DeliverShot is built for events. Every guest finds their own photos from a selfie, prints and downloads sell themselves, and you pick between a subscription plan or pay-as-you-go credits depending on how often you shoot.

The short version

Pixieset is a client gallery. DeliverShot is an event gallery. Same shelf, different job.

Pixieset sells you a client gallery plus a studio website, a Lightroom plugin, and a CRM. It’s excellent if you shoot couples, families, and portraits: a small number of clients who come back to one named gallery.

DeliverShot sells you an event gallery. One upload, hundreds or thousands of guests, every guest taking a selfie and seeing only their own photos. Prints and framed prints ship on demand from Gelato. You keep 85–90% of every sale and get paid directly via Stripe Connect.

Ten weddings a year with named couples? Pixieset is probably simpler. Events where the guests outnumber the client? DeliverShot was built for that job.

Choose DeliverShot if
  • You shoot events with crowds — weddings, races, corporates, club nights, festivals — and guests need to find themselves without scrolling a gallery.
  • You want pay-as-you-go credits for occasional events instead of a mandatory monthly subscription.
  • You want direct Stripe Connect payouts, not a gallery that processes payments on your behalf and remits later.
  • You’re UK-based, care about GDPR, and want data stored in the UK with a 14-day deletion window.
  • You want guests to match from a browser on any phone, with no app download, no account, and no App Store friction.
  • You want AI selfie face matching built in, not as a bolt-on.
Choose Pixieset if
  • You shoot named clients (weddings, portraits, families) and want a CRM, contracts, and a studio website in the same tool.
  • You need a Lightroom plugin so you can publish without leaving your editor.
  • You want native iOS and Android apps for you and your clients.
  • You want a mature, well-known brand that your clients already recognise.
  • You bill in USD, EUR, or CAD. DeliverShot is GBP-only today.

Where Pixieset wins

Things Pixieset genuinely does better than us.

  • Native iOS and Android apps

Pixieset has polished mobile apps for photographers to manage galleries and for clients to browse on the go. That’s a real advantage if your clients value a named app they come back to. DeliverShot is deliberately browser-only: guests never install anything, which matters more at events where hundreds of one-off visitors need to match in ninety seconds. Different tradeoffs for different jobs.

  • Lightroom plugin

Pixieset lets you publish a gallery straight from Lightroom Classic without leaving your editor. We don’t offer a Lightroom plugin today. You drag-drop from your card or pull from Google Drive.

  • Studio website builder

Pixieset ships a full website builder with templates, blog, and custom domains so you can run your whole marketing site from one account. We offer a portfolio page at /p/[handle], not a full CMS.

  • Studio CRM, contracts, invoicing

Pixieset Suite bundles Studio Manager: CRM, contracts, invoicing, questionnaires, scheduling. We don’t offer contracts or invoicing. DeliverShot is focused on event delivery, not studio admin.

  • Multi-currency billing

Pixieset sells in USD, GBP, EUR, CAD, AUD and more. DeliverShot is GBP-only today. If you need to sell prints in USD or EUR, Pixieset will be easier.

  • Slideshow and album proofing

Pixieset has slideshow tools and album-proofing flows that wedding photographers rely on. We don’t have a slideshow builder or an album-proofing workflow.
